The BTL Client

Corey Lynn Tucker is one of the most unique people I have ever met in my life. She is the perfect marriage of professional and out-of-the-box. She’s completely rock-and-roll while also caring, kind, and supportive. To know her is to love her, and I was so sad when our project came to an end after months of working on her rebrand together.

“Hey, hey! I’m Corey Lynn Tucker—and I see my role on this Earth as much more than just a destination elopement photographer.

I’m also a creative stylist, an educator, a wellness enthusiast, an organic gardener, a forager, a brand and intimate portrait artist, an avid brainstormer, a life-long learner, an activist, a travel guide guru, and an ever-explorer.

To put it simply: my middle name is Passionate. And I dedicate my life to working with other creative, adventurous souls who value lifting each other up as much as they value dreamy photos that capture their genuine love story.

The Project

Corey first came to me in November of 2020, knowing she wanted to rebrand herself, but not sure what the best course of action would be. We worked together to come up with a clear plan, involving a completely revamped website, new blog posts, a social media strategy, and an email marketing plan.

Not only is Corey an elopement photographer, but she also has two other facets of her business: HER, intimate portraits and brand photos for women who don’t want to choose between sexy and professional, and The Luminists, workshops and community for photographers. We wanted her website to clearly explain all the different ways to work with her, without being confusing or overwhelming.

The Deliverables

Corey’s project called for a custom package in order to accommodate everything she needed for her rebrand. We worked together to create:

• Copywriting for a brand new 7-page website

• Email welcome sequence for new subscribers (including list segmentation, lead forms and lead magnet delivery)

• Email nurture sequence for existing subscribers

• Rebrand announcement email and monthly newsletter

• 4 blog posts to launch with the new site

• An entire month’s worth of Instagram captions

I also conceptualized and crafted a brand new offer for her: the surprise elopement. Adventure is the foundation of Corey’s entire brand—and she loves planning elopements—so when I brought the idea of a surprise elopement package to her, she was onboard immediately. The Target Audience

Corey’s ideal client is the ultimate adventurer. She wants to work with explorers of all types, from hikers to skydivers to international travelers, who have no interest in a traditional wedding because they’d rather spend their time creating experiences together.

And, let me tell you, we didn’t waste a single second in speaking directly to those ideal clients in her website copy. Here’s the first thing you see when you click on her homepage:

“Calling all nature lovers, travel junkies, and boho badasses: you’re why I do what I do. Traditional weddings are for traditional people—and you’re anything but. If you’re looking for an alternative to the ordinary, you’re in the right place.”

Because so much of Corey’s role as an elopement photographer revolves around her personal relationship with her clients, we wanted to make it abundantly clear who she loves to work with.

The Differentiating Factors

What makes Corey Lynn Tucker Photography stand out from her competition?

Here, I’ll give you a list:

• Her dedication. Corey would quite literally climb a mountain for you.

• Her team. Corey’s husband, George, is an ordained officiant, making elopements seamless. Instead of her clients worrying about who’s going to officiate their ceremony, Corey has a righthand man ready to come along for the ride so they can cross one more thing off their to-do list. She also has an associate photographer on speed dial if an event calls for it.

• Her love of planning. Corey’s very into research, and when you book an elopement with her, she’ll create an entire guide for you about where to stay, where to eat, marriage laws in that state/country, activities to do while you’re there, and so much more.

• Her expertise. Corey has been capturing love stories on camera for a long time, and she knows how to make a couple feel comfortable being photographed.

To put it simply: Corey was my ideal client. She was respectful, grateful, punctual, and kind, and I loved every second I spent working on her projects.
